I was for a bit, but at the moment I need to focus on finishing my work as I don’t have much time left to finish my project. I have experience of a lot of different projects and I’ve gained many skills now, so I’m pretty confident I’ll find a career I like and if I want to leave it one day, I’m fairly confident I will find something else I want to do. I think I’m pretty lucky in many ways because there’s lots that interests me.

Hi, the good thing about engineering is you gain transferable skills (things you can use in lots of jobs) like problem solving and teamwork. That way if the worst happens you have skills to offer other companies and industries. I speak from experience as I was made redundant from the Royal Air Force.

I think the future is uncertain and I think it is going to be very changeable however if we embrace the change and focus on making an impact (In a good way!) we should be okay.
The concern is we don’t really know what we are going to get, but that could be a good thing!

I’m still at the beginning of my career so I’m concerned but I am hopeful. As long as you don;t lose the desire to learn new skills and the passion for your job things will work out.
