      Sorry for the delay in replying I was on holiday last week.
      In my industry Research engineers are the beginning and the end of the process.
      They suggest areas of development to us that might make interesting products – for example they suggest working with marine biologists to learn about the surface of sharks, they suggest different areas of swimming that are currently not being looked at,
      They then, at the end, look at test and validation methods so that we can show, prove and market that our products are fit for purpose, this will link in to the research area that they originally proposed; for example finding a way to test the surface of a textile to show that it works likes sharks skin……
